Dis-Credibility Awards for Incredible Stupidity I shake my head at the ability of some in the political arena to wipe out any credibility they may have had in the public's minds. Media reports indicate that NDP MLAs claim ICBC's attempt to ensure that bad drivers aren't hiding behind the record of good drivers is a Liberal cash-grab. Huh? I expect voters will judge those NDP fools who cannot think straight. Of course the Liberal government regularly pours egg on its own face, such as by claiming money is not available to help mis-treated children then spending mega-bucks on office decoration of the responsibile ministry. Was anyone fired for that callous stupidity? And in the news again is a reminder of the gross stupidity of violating the contract of health care workers a few years ago. Did any high level bureaucrats and politicians lose their jobs over that fiasco? Employees of the Greater Victoria library system, believing that they are not fairly paid, proceeded to violate the trust of their positions and give away money that would help pay their wages - by facilitating and encouraging borrowers to avoid paying overdue book fines, and offering to eliminate their fines if the borrower contributed to a union-designated charity. And out among the ivory towers of UVic, which claims to support academic freedom, some students openly initiated physical force to eliminate freedom at a career fair while the administration allowed its security staff to ignore the tyranny. I say "cut off their funding"! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intellectual property of Kurmudgeon Keith Sketchley 2009.04.04 (1002PDT) Legalities detailed on http://www.keithsketchley.com/ apply.
